This second volume of in-depth case studies of zero-net-energy (ZNE) buildings looks at five more examples of buildings designed so that the energy used by the building over the course of a year is equal to the amount of energy supplied by the on-site renewable energy system. These case studies are effectively the next generation of ZNE buildings, completed 2-4 years after the buildings discussed in Volume 1. As such, they build on the “lessons learned”.
